I have the USB Stick ready, did it following this guide, what's comes next? By installing Sonoma Clover will be installed as well?
No, it won't. Clover is not in any way a part of the Sonoma installer.I have the USB Stick ready, did it following this guide, what's comes next? By installing Sonoma Clover will be installed as well?
I installed Clover, as the guide states, in the USB stick containing Sonoma, then I added all the needed kext to the EFI folder. Should I replace that EFI folder with the one you are poiting out in the link? By the way, my GPR is not Vega 56 but rather a Saphire Radeon Nitro+ RX580 8GB, would that EFI folder still work for me? Thank youNo, it won't. Clover is not in any way a part of the Sonoma installer.
Follow this guide. Use the Opencore 0.9.5 EFI folder provided.
Z97X-UD5H-BK / i7-4790K / Radeon Vega 56 - Sonoma
Here is a an OpenCore 0.9.5 EFI set for a Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK / i7-4790K / Radeon Vega 56 system to run macOS Sonoma 14.x. The first thing I did was disable the IGPU in the Bios and set the dGPU as the default graphics processor. Then went on to set the Bios to work with macOS following these...www.tonymacx86.com
It should work, the GPU doesn't make a difference here. Add your SMBIOS and Serials to the EFI before trying to boot.my GPU is not Vega 56 but rather a Saphire Radeon Nitro+ RX580 8GB, would that EFI folder still work for me?
Thank you. How do I add my SMBIOS and Serials to the EFI? Never did OC, allways used Clover..It should work, the GPU doesn't make a difference here. Add your SMBIOS and Serials to the EFI before trying to boot.
Use PlistEdit Pro app. Has a free trial. Open up the config.plist with PLE Pro app and go to area shown in red box.How do I add my SMBIOS and Serials to the EFI?
Mount the EFI of the USB stick, then copy the OpenCore based EFI folder to that EFI partition. What should I do next?
I think you misunderstood. Stop using the Clover EFI folder, you don't need it. Update the SMBIOS and serials etc. in the OpenCore EFI folder's config.plist from Edhawk. You are moving on from Clover, it's not going to be your bootloader going forward.I have the EFI folder from the link (EFI-sonoma-share.zip) from wich I already have the plist updated with SMBIOS and Serials.
