I use a 3.9GHz OC'd hack to run Lightroom 3, Photoshop CS5 and Photomechanic. It really flies and is rock solid except for some sleep issues.

For travel I use a 17"MBP i5
Also have a 27" C2D 3.06 iMac for wife doing non-essential familuy and kids processing etc.

All good to be honest.

What kind of sleep issues? I'll be running the same sort of programs + dreamweaver.

Nothing too bad as a I recall. I sold that box as it actually wasnt that much faster than the MBP, not worth the space in the house. It was faster but not 'night and day' faster. The sleep issues were mainly about entering deep sleep but I think I resolved it all with sleepenabler.

I have just built a Sandybridge box based on a GA-Z68X-UD3R-UB3 board and a Radeon HD6850.

Would not recommend the radeon, dual screen set up was a cow. Other than that, it works perfectly.
