[UPGRADED] ASUS Prime B550M-A AC — Ryzen 7 5700X — Radeon RX 6700XT

My new motherboard to replace the A320I-K in the G5. Ethernet was the main complaint, and with no WiFi in macOS at least was proving too much. Arriving this weekend I'm looking forward to get this up and running and see what kind of multithreaded restrictions have been placed on the 5700X with this board.

Build quality looks amazing as usual for Gigabyte. It's rare to see dual HDMI 2.1 ports on any motherboard. You can only use them with Windows though and a "G" series AMD CPU. (as you already know)

This board has a few nice features, but what I'm really interested in finding out is how much the 5700X will be restricted in multithreaded tasks. I benched the B450 and it scored about 1000 pts lower than the A320 in ChineBench multithreaded bench, which surprised me!.

Morning. I upgraded my ASUS Prime A320I-K to a Gigabyte A520i AC, I keep getting stuck at 'couldn't alloc class "AppleKeyStoreTest"', any ideas?, I've checked search.

Are you also seeing something like this in verbose output ?

AppleNVMe Assert failed

Not that I can see.

I think it's a better layout on the 520i, the CPU is further away from the PCIe slots, giving you more room between the fan and the GPU. I haven't plugged in the WiFi antenna because they don't fit, I think I saw a solution somewhere. First bench in Windows 11 Pro was slightly better than the 320 too.

Big thank you to @Edhawk, the EFI worked Perfectly, and I finally have WiFi!.

If it wasn't for the flakey Ethernet on the 320I I'd probably reinstall it, performance wise the 520I just can't match it, though I really do appreciate working Ethernet and WiFi!.

My Wi-Fi solution due to the lack of any access to the rear IO. I just unscrewed the antenna from the IO and re routed it through the pci slot. I of course have my Wi-Fi fin attached to the side!.
