HI

For the past few weeks I've been getting this message after every time I log in. There is no issues at boot, everything works fine, I've not experienced any kernel panics that I could see. However, without fail, every time I log in i get this message.

The only thing I did in the last few weeks was install the Sierra Public beta on a separate drive, with a local install of clover (i.e. I had two versions of clover running on two different drives). I don't have this issue when I boot into Sierra.

The details from this error suggest there was a kernel panic, but I'm unconvinced.

Is there a flag held somewhere that triggers this? or am I actually getting kernel panics?

EDIT: Also I just noticed that the OSBuild mentioned in the error is from Sierra, so this is even more confusing.

Take a look at the "System uptime in nanoseconds:" number.
If it is the same every time then it is stored in NVRAM.

You can confirm by typing in Terminal :

Code:
nvram -p

You can clear the contents of NVRAM with :

Code:
sudo nvram -c

Thanks!

I tried this now, but the message still appears.

I wonder if it goes away when I upgrade to Sierra when it's out. There's always the option of a clean install anyway.

Boot from the drive that gives the problem and in Terminal type :

Code:
sudo rm /nvram.plist

Restart

Tried this too, and still got the message. I erased the drive with the beta so only the EFI and a blank partition remain, and still get the message.

I'll try tomorrow with the drive unplugged, but not sure if the problem is on that drive.

In any case, thank you for your help so far.

This message usually comes from an app or process not shutting down properly. If you erased the primary partition how do you still this error when there's no OS to shutdown?

If the "System uptime in nanoseconds:" number is the same with each boot then the message is stored somewhere instead of being generated. Usually it is either in actual NVRAM or /nvram.plist.

That's what I though. Is there any chance it persists on the EFI partition with Clover?

I unplugged all the other drives and I'm still getting the message after removing /nvram.plist off the main drive. The EFI is the only Volume I haven't touched yet
