First of all I wanted to say: Hi, I'm new here, but have been reading up on how to's the past few days in order to get my own Hackintosh up and running.
The community here looks great and that's why I wanted to start my own thread about my hackintosh PC.
Let me begin with the specs of the system:
CPU: Intel I7 [email protected]
MB: Asus x58 Sabertooth
Ram: 6GB Corsair vengeance
GraphicsCard: Asus ATI/AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB
The system is currently running Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit on a 2TB WD CaviarGreen HDD.
I have purchased a macbook Air last week, that came with a free upgrade to OSX Mountain Lion. So I already have that.
The HDD I'm going to use for this Hack is a Toshiba 2,5" 250GB drive that came out of an "old" macbook pro.
What I did so far is:
- Install Unibeast mountain Lion on my macbook and created a 8gb flash drive that contains the Mountain Lion install.
- In order to really boot the PC, I would have to delete the Kex file for Ati6000 series cards our of the Mountain Lion install.
- I have already installed Mountain Lion on my HackPC using the command "GraphicsEnabled=No" because otherwise the install wouldn't kick in (I would just get weird colored lines when i was supposed to get the install "welcome" screen).
- After having booted Mountain Lion, I put back that kex file into its original folder (used Kex Wizard).
So far so good, now here is the part i'm stuck at. After doing all that, the next in the youtube tut I found was to install drivers using Multibeast. Now this I don't really quite understand, I found someone who has the same pc components as me. So I followed the screenshot of Multibeast that he supplied. After having checked everything twice, I installed everything and rebooted the pc.
And it just hangs on the apple boot screen, it doesn't even show the spinning wheel. So i did something wrong, but can't seem to figure out what.
Tonight I will do my second clean install of Mountain Lion, and try again.
I would really appreciate any help on the whole "Multibeast config thing" As that Is the only part I really don't understand, I need a push in the right direction.
I have seen some people with the almost exact same setup as me, so it can't be impossible. I feel like i'm very close but that i'm overlooking(or missing) some important things.
Thx in advance, and I'm really intrested in becoming more skilled in this.
