First of all I wanted to say: Hi, I'm new here, but have been reading up on how to's the past few days in order to get my own Hackintosh up and running.

The community here looks great and that's why I wanted to start my own thread about my hackintosh PC.
Let me begin with the specs of the system:

CPU: Intel I7 [email protected]
MB: Asus x58 Sabertooth
Ram: 6GB Corsair vengeance
GraphicsCard: Asus ATI/AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB

The system is currently running Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit on a 2TB WD CaviarGreen HDD.
I have purchased a macbook Air last week, that came with a free upgrade to OSX Mountain Lion. So I already have that.

The HDD I'm going to use for this Hack is a Toshiba 2,5" 250GB drive that came out of an "old" macbook pro.

What I did so far is:

- Install Unibeast mountain Lion on my macbook and created a 8gb flash drive that contains the Mountain Lion install.
- In order to really boot the PC, I would have to delete the Kex file for Ati6000 series cards our of the Mountain Lion install.
- I have already installed Mountain Lion on my HackPC using the command "GraphicsEnabled=No" because otherwise the install wouldn't kick in (I would just get weird colored lines when i was supposed to get the install "welcome" screen).
- After having booted Mountain Lion, I put back that kex file into its original folder (used Kex Wizard).

So far so good, now here is the part i'm stuck at. After doing all that, the next in the youtube tut I found was to install drivers using Multibeast. Now this I don't really quite understand, I found someone who has the same pc components as me. So I followed the screenshot of Multibeast that he supplied. After having checked everything twice, I installed everything and rebooted the pc.

And it just hangs on the apple boot screen, it doesn't even show the spinning wheel. So i did something wrong, but can't seem to figure out what.

Tonight I will do my second clean install of Mountain Lion, and try again.
I would really appreciate any help on the whole "Multibeast config thing" As that Is the only part I really don't understand, I need a push in the right direction.

I have seen some people with the almost exact same setup as me, so it can't be impossible. I feel like i'm very close but that i'm overlooking(or missing) some important things.

Thx in advance, and I'm really intrested in becoming more skilled in this.

At the Apple Boot Screen type -x to boot in using SAFE mode. Try this before the re-install. Something probably needs to just be updated.

So do I type this in before booting into OSX, or when i'm already on the apple boot screen? Because i know you can typ in stuff at the Unibeast screen before choosing a partition. I also think i can't boot into OSX without the mountain Lion usb stick inserted into my system.

Type '-x' at the unibeast screen and then select your partition. if you can boot, go in the downloads section here and download and install Chimera. then you should be able to boot without usb in

when i first see the tonymac(apple) and the blue loading bar hit the space bar.
then type in your boot flags(switches)e.g. -x for safe,-s single user,-v verbose(try -x first)

if no good try -v it will stop at the panic, submit the image here and someone will help you..

Ok thx, i will try that and post back. I'm currently not at home so i can't test atm. But thx for the help so far guys.

I'm also using a Sabertooth X58 system, and mine works fine, so it's definitely possible.

I think one of your main problems might be the Radeon 6950. I don't think anyone has gotten a Radeon 69xx video card working well on a Hackintosh.

So I tried -x at first, but no spinwheel or boot into osx. Then I tried -v and it stopped at what I think is the end of the "test".
I took a picture of it:

I think my best shot is to start with a fresh install and maybe someone who also has a X58 sabertooth board can tell me what Unibeast settings they used, because I could boot into the system just fine before i installed stuff with Unibeast. Everything was low quality because i had "GraphicsEnabled-No" but I could browse the web and everything worked rather fine. I also forgot to mention in the first post that i used a DSDT file from Tonymac for a x58 Sabertooth with driver version 1304, my mobo driver is also 1304 offc ;)

And i already knew a 6950 in a hackintosh system was possible, I checked if all my components were supported before starting this. The question is, how? :D

If I ask stupid questions sometimes, please excuse me, but i'm very new to this. I already have experience on computers in general, I build them as my Job. But I have never ever done something like this before. Also, I'm from Belgium, so english isn't my native language, Spelling faults will happen sometimes.

Further more, thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it.

Quick update: Just tried booting without my Windows 7 disk plugged in and without the Mountain Lion USB, and it boots, just not all the way into osx. Grey apple screen with again no spinwheel or anything. it's been sitting here for about 15min now and still hasn't booted or done anything else.
