Use Old Parts with a newer version of macOS ?

Clearly you don't have to spoof a Coffee Lake CPU, that's the myth that I was talking about.

This is what I mean by CPU spoofing (not just SMBIOS) :

This is complete nonsense.

Your panic text shows SMBIOS iMac14,2 but the SMBIOS in the config.plist is iMac18,1.

Your panic text shows RealtekRTL8111.kext is loaded but it is not enabled in your config.plist.

My guess would be that iMac18,1 is wrong for El Capitan.

iMac18,1 was released with macOS 10.12.4 Sierra so probably does not support El Capitan.


Difficult to be sure with so little information provided.
Boot in verbose mode and post a picture of the screen when it stops.
