All my 3 modern machines have came from Microcenter, my 2 hackintosh rigs, a I7 7700k Z170 based machine, and my Current 12900k Z690 based machine, both dual boot into Win 11 and MacOS. and my newest workstation a 13900k Z790 based machine, which runs Win 11 only. I fully intend to pick up a 7800XT or even a 7900XTX in March 2024 when im next over in the USA (I live in the UK) Its always the same Microcenter branch I go to in Brooklyn. Its a shame though as it likely means the end of hackintoshing. if I cant put in a new GPU. the 6600XT needs upgrading for modern gaming and the 5500XT in the old i7 is now 3 generations old. I will also pick up a new Intel Battlemage series GPU if not this visit, on my next later in the year.. depending on release date for the hardware. As I currently have a Alchemist A770 Limited Edition in there.
Its getting to that sad time where unless you are willing to hold onto older hardware just for the compatability, the only option is to go buy a Mac mini or suchlike. even then theres only going to be another couple of years of releases for intel CPU macs.
