When something like this happens to me I just restart the driver..
Four simple steps..
1. Open terminal
2. type "sudo -s" without quotes and type your password in.
3. type kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/RealtekRTL81xx.kext
4. type kextload /System/Library/Extensions/RealtekRTL81xx.kext...
If you don't know how to do it then you didn't alter the file, so is still vanilla from TonyMac multibeast.
Ok another thought I am not sure if the GTX550Ti is even supported on the SnowLeo
The only one game that I like to play when I have time is Duke Nukem 3d Forever.
It is not the best game around but I like it :)
I am running it on a GT430 1Gb silent
To get smooth gameplay I have to put it on a 1024*??? (16:10) ratio.
An all the effect to medium.
:)
Post back when you will...
Did you use another USB stick?
I have the same configuration and I did the install from an external harddrive not from a USB stick.
I tied to make a USB stick with a Kingston 8Gb pen drive but no success, it works with a external HDD.
Hope it helps.
Boot is a problem for chimera earlier the 1.4 as it wont boot from 2Tb hdd, the RAM issue is because leopar is running in native 32bit mode you can switch to x64 by adding a kernel flag arch=x86_64.
For the boot problems try to install the latest Chimera boot loader 1.7.
I had the "same" nvidia GT8800, the only thing that I had to do was to make an hex injection in the boot loader config file.
Or you can just install the latest chimera and set GraphicsEnabler=Yes
You need to remove the NVEnabler64.kext.
Hope you will solve the proem.
I wouldn't recommend that as windows support is a bit "#$$/&#$.. Instead download a Ubuntu live cd and do it from there as Linux has native suport for HPFS.
