    Success: Coffee Lake i7-8700K - GA-Z370N-WIFI

I know you are right and I should. So I just removed all kexts from my EFI except the FakeSMC and put them on my desktop. I used Kextbeast to install to /L/E and then deleted them from the desktop. When I restarted my DP monitor wouldn't turn on and I lost all USB port functionality, except...

    Success: Coffee Lake i7-8700K - GA-Z370N-WIFI

Fontanero, thank you so much for all of your assistance throughout this thread! This is my second Hackintosh now running an i5 8400 with a new Gigabyte H370N WIFI mobo. I just got up and running with nearly no major issues using your EFI and extensions. The Z370 and H370 must be nearly...

GA-z170x-ud3, 980ti, dual monitors kind of work!

It's taken me almost all week to upgrade from 10.12.0 to 10.12.5 and have my graphics working properly! I did a clean install of macos (also wiped my Windows 10 efi volume by accident...), made a new USB installer with 10.12.5 and got everything up and running finally. I had issues with the...

Trying to Update to macOS 10.12.5

I am trying to update from 10.12.0 to 10.12.5 and am having some issues. I've been using this guide. https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-sierra-on-the-ga-z170x-ud3.202296/ After downloading and installing the update, I never reached the desktop. My loading bar got stuck just near the...

    Daisy Chain 2x Dell 2414h

Has there been any updates/workarounds for macOS allowing non-thunderbolt daisy chaining? Both monitors have DP 1.2 and the are in the correct ports working fine in Windows, but I cannot get it to work in Sierra. The only option I have is to mirror the two. My working setup consists of...

    [GUIDE] Sierra on the GA-Z170X-UD3

I followed the steps but my mobo audio isn't working anymore. Audio through DP and HDMI via my monitors works fine, except I do not have universal volume control through them.

    [GUIDE] Sierra on the GA-Z170X-UD3

I am going to use these steps to go from El Cap to Sierra and don't expect any issues as I had none when I followed the full guide for this motherboard. But I know I get multiple boot entries in the BIOS (none in the clover boot menu) and am running version F6. I dual boot W10 and OS X and...

[GUIDE] El Capitan on the GA-Z170X-UD3

Ok that worked! Thanks! And... I enabled HS07/08 as non-external and sleep works. Awesome sauce. Looks like everything is running smoothly. Just need to work on iMessage tomorrow.

[GUIDE] El Capitan on the GA-Z170X-UD3

I've now have El Cap installed and I'm working through the post-install process. I'm stuck at the CPU PM step. I was able to complete steps 1 and 2, but step 3 is giving me problems: Run the ssdtPRGen.sh script that was downloaded earlier (If your CPU is overclocked, add "-turbo xxxx" without...

[GUIDE] El Capitan on the GA-Z170X-UD3

Ok I misunderstood and over-complicated it. I guess I wasn't sure if the cooler's USB was providing any power/management to the fans/cooler, and that by disabling it, I'd disable the cooler itself. By disabling HS07/08, sleep will work and the fans will run as long as they are on their own fan...

[GUIDE] El Capitan on the GA-Z170X-UD3

Does the cooler (pump and fans) still work? I would think so... The 2 fan cables are connected to the y-splitter going to the cooler, which has a single cable going to a fan header. I don't want to lose the USB functionality in Windows though. I'll probably try out the DSDT method to get...
